Nucleate Code of Conduct
Nucleate is excited to be back at it again! Representing amazing beer from our team and some of our closest friends across the industry, proceeds from this year’s festival will go to supporting Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley.
The name Nucleate means to bring together into a nucleus. In honor of our name, we hope that gathering industry friends and enthusiasts can promote positive community through our mutual love of beer. Nucleate is committed to creating a space that is safe, respectful, inclusive, and fun for all regardless of sex, orientation, gender identity and expression, race, age, and other identities not included here. Help us work together to create a welcoming community experience free from discrimination, abuse, offensive, and harassing behavior.
The Nucleate Code of Conduct is required for all festival participants including attendee, volunteer, team members, and brewers. In support of Nucleate guidelines, festival participants must:
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as follow all venue and festival directions provided by staff.
Engage in professional behavior that respects person and property.
Treat all individuals with dignity and respect, recognizing that the human experience is diverse.
Work to eliminate rather than elevate conflict with others.
Refrain from offensive, harassing, and abusive behavior. Harassment includes any behavior that is demeaning, humiliating, embarrassing, upsetting, or threatening to another individual.
Misconduct of any nature will not be tolerated. This includes irresponsible or unsafe use of alcohol, verbal or physical action towards others, unwelcome sexual attention or other conduct of a sexual nature, fighting or intimidation, sustained disruption of programming, or advocating for any behavior that causes harm to others.
Remain aware of your surroundings and take active steps to prevent or intervene in toxic behavior. Intervention asks participants to notice, interpret, assume responsibility, and take action against harmful behavior.
Please report misconduct and/or incidents of harassment to festival staff, volunteers, or through the anonymous reporting feature located on signage throughout the venue. Proactive intervention does not require an individual to act alone. Staff and volunteers are trained to provide support.
By participating in Nucleate, you agree to be held to the standards outlined in this Code of Conduct. Additionally, you agree that if compliance with the Code of Conduct is broken, staff reserve the right to restrict festival participation or pursue action deemed appropriate for the situation.
In the beer community and in all spaces, we believe it is our responsibility to create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for all. Community reflects inclusion of all people regardless of race, sex, sexuality, gender, orientation, nation of origin, economic class, faith, ability, or identity. Help us work together to create a welcoming community experience free from discrimination, abuse, offensive, and harassing behavior. If you experience a conflict or notice behavior that promotes harm to others, please reach out to event staff or submit a report through our anonymous reporting signage located near water stations. Thank you for your support and commitment to making Nucleate an experience that welcomes all. We will include station numbers on signs located at water stations to assist with identifying the location of an incident with a QR code linked to: Conduct@homesbrewery.com
